Well, it's not Papa D'Angelo's on the Embarcadero, Fisherman's Wharf with the salami & mortadella hanging all over. That's why I gave it a 3 for Atmosphere. But as usual, the food is very good, and our waitress couldn't have been better. I should have tipped her more generously, in fact. The bill was less than I expected, so I should have tipped better. I can honestly say, I've never NOT enjoyed the food at Olive Garden. I'm a Chef, so that's saying a lot! I make many of their dishes at home, especially the Zuppa Toscana. Mine may be slightly better, but maybe not! Enjoy!
Went to lunch with a friend today. We arrived at 11:15 and they were not busy. Our server brought us our drinks as we looked over the menu. Five minutes later, she came back and took our order. We both got soup. I ordered the chicken and gnocchi soup. She ordered the zappa toscana. The soup arrived 10 minutes later. Her soup was not spicy as indicated, and the sausage didn't taste like Italian. Mine was perfect. The garlic breadsticks are a little salty. We both ordered the chicken and shrimp carbonara. It tasted as good as it looked. The shrimp were a mouthful and cooked perfectly. The chicken was a crispy cutlet buried under all that cream sauce and spaghetti. Damn, it was good!
