I was in this restaurant with friends one is black and my other two friends are lgbt ️‍⚧️, the manager told the bartender that we are screaming a lot because we are Latinas that it was not a bar when we never scream. He is a homophobic who can't stand to see lgbt people. It made me feel very bad for the attention given being manager of the place has to have a little empathy for their customers. We felt very uncomfortable because he was telling the bartender we were too loud when we wasn’t I was very offended because we thought it was a very nice place but the chief Mike was saying we were loud and disrupted when we were just having a good time no one else was complaining everything was good until the chief Mike made that rude comment against homophobic

A delightful Harlem tapas restaurant located at Columbia's Jerome L Greene science center. Wonderful airy location the clean modern decoration. Good selection of cocktail to choose from. Classic spanosh tapas dishes for sharing, though some presentation's a bit much and expensive too.

This past week, I went to Oliva with a friend for a happy hour and we had a great time. I loved the place. Very spacious, clean, well located, amazing ambience with the jazz performers and totally affordable in this age of inflation. We sat at the bar and Oscar was our bartender. He was just excellent. Answered our questions regarding menu and drink options. Nice, warm personality. We ordered the hamburger with chorizo, pork ribs and martinis. Delicious! I will definitely recommend Oliva and I look forward to visiting again.

great atmosphere, tasty food, friendly service

Pleasantly surprised by the amazing quality of each dishes! The sea food ingredients were especially spot on - fresh and full of flavors. The service was also very good. Highly recommend their cocktails as well.

Had been wanting to try this place since it opened and found perfect opportunity with Spanish Tapa Week to sample a number of dishes. Friend and I really enjoyed the carefully composed flavorful dishes, and happy hour wine. The waitstaff were warm, friendly, knowledgeable and professional, and the space was open and wonderful. Definitely worth a visit. I plan to come back.
