Extremely rude bartender! Terrible experience last night! If I could give 0 stars, I would! We walked out because of her! Bar was pretty dead and there were several empty spots by the middle of the bar, but no chairs. There were also SEVERAL empty high top tables about 5 feet from the bar, so I decided to move a chair. Immediately this short brunette bartender reprimanded me for moving the chairs. She raised her voice at me and said that we're not allowed to move them! The way she said it made me feel like I was committing a crime! So instead, she tells us to sit at the end of the bar...next to the bathrooms! Then she later came by and said we could move the chairs we were sitting at ourselves, which was 20 feet from the open area of the bar. But she can't allow us to move the chairs from the table which were less than 5 feet away?!?! If the establishment was busy....then I could understand her point! But the bar was dead with about half dozen empty high top tables 5 feet from the bar! The way she treated us felt like I was being scolded by my mom! We've been going to the Pour House almost every weekend, especially the one in Naperville. Always had very good experience....until last night in Oak Brook! Old Town Pour House may have lost a couple loyal patrons for good....because of 1 rude bartender that lacks customer service skills!!

The Old Town Pour House in Oakbrook was an excellent dinner dining experience. We sat outside. They have an external fireplace which we were seated near. The restaurant is located in the mall area but their outside dining patio is sheltered and expertly separated from the hustle and bustle of the mall. We ordered a couple of appetizers; the fried pickles and cheese curds. Both of these were excellent. The cheese curds came with a smoked tomato sauce to dip and it was fantastic. I had the Smoke House burger and my friend had the Scorpion Burger. We both thought they were well prepared and very tasty. The Scorpion Burger apparently has quite a kick to it. We had a couple of beverages as well. They have Dragon's Milk on tap! Check it out if you've never had it you won't be disappointed. They also have a decent selection of local beers.
