The Espresso shake was awesome and the PB&B was alright. Service was nice and efficient. The atmosphere was relaxed outside on the patio and nice inside. The vibe is focused on creating a safe haven/space for the LGBTQ+ community which is respectable and awesome. However, I did notice a sticker inside from CrimethInc which states "Police Not Welcome" which seems to contradict the purpose of CrimethInc's purpose to "create a freer and more joyous world". It's reasonable to have skepticism towards authority or a group you feel threatened by. But maybe be willing to have a conversation with the faction you detest because it's possible that a day will come where someone that doesn't fit the narrative from the detested group will show up and upon seeing such a sticker a civil conversation will already be potentially ruined. The sticker represents old thinking, divisiveness and this current political mentality of "I'm right and you're wrong. End of discussion. Doesn't promote unity or maturity." Don't fight bigotry with bigotry.

TOXIC! We were looking forward to that much need ice coffee while we were traveling through town. Took my special needs son into the bathroom where he saw and began opening the PLAN B pill on a low shelf. I brought the box to the counter and shared that although I appreciated the need for this, this was a scary experience to have. Asked for it to be kept out of a child’s reach. My words were repeated back to me in a low mocking tone, invalidating our experience. The cherry on top was being told my son might as well swallow the toilet bowl cleaner and they are not responsible for anything he consumes and they will never reconsider putting it anywhere else. At the bare minimum, an aware parent should be able to send their child into a single stall bathroom without there being medication within reach and available to consume. Where do we draw the loosely-goosey line? Thanks for the apples to apples comparison of my son poisoning himself with toilet bowl cleaner. You shoved an agenda down my throat at the expense of a child putting something harmful into his body. Hope this doesn’t actually happen to a child in your business and a lawsuit doesn’t shut the whole clown show down.
