Old Ironsides

I went on a disco night no cover charge! Club is small but it didn't matter. It was a rainy night, not that many people were in the club as usual. DJ played good music. Parking: Parking is downtown and free after certain hours. Make sure you read the signs!

They have a stage for a local bands. Great drinks. I don't think they have food.

Best vibe. Perfect when I want to have a drink and dance in a casual atmosphere with casual people. Mixed crowd, and everyone is there for a good time. You'll always meet friendly people. Sometimes, the bar gets backed up, and it takes a while to get a drink, but that's too be expected.

What a great time, I've been coming here for years and at this point in my life it's safe to assume to to say ... I'll never stop

While Old Ironsides is definitely one of the old-time bars in Sacramento, it is not much more than what one would consider a dive bar. My husband and I went there for a special event, but I can't say that I would return just to hang out. I can't imagine the place with a live band! Your eardrums would be bleeding after 2 hours. Vegetarian options: There are no vegetarian options. There are no options at all. They don't serve food even though it says so on their website. Dietary restrictions: There are all dietary restrictions here because they don't serve food. Kid-friendliness: It's a bar. No kids. Wheelchair accessibility: I'm not sure a wheelchair could even get in the front door, but if they could, there'd be no place for it. It gets very crowded.
