We have loved this restaurant, and Gary, over the past three years or more. It was excellent until this March of 2024, when we weren't respected when we entered. The waitress was rude enough that we left. It's a shame. So, visiting here is either excellent, if Gary is present, or unpleasant, and unreliable.
The waitress was very inattentive. There was only one other group when we were there. Not busy so no excuse.
I would love to try this place but they are always closed. I’ve stopped by at least 4 times and even though the hrs say they should be open they are not. Walked in on evening about 6:30 and the girl said they were closed. Looks like an amazing place but I give up.
The Jaeger schnitzel was thin and overcooked with canned mushroom gravy. The sauerbraten was good . The spaetzel were a strange yellow color and was tasteless .
Always a fantastic meal here. The food is wonderful and plentiful. Can't as for a better meal. This place doesn't get enough credit!!!
Did you live in Germany? Were you stationed there? Do not go here expecting to recreate that experience. The beer was the best thing about this experience as well as the most authentic, although they will serve you a Hefeweizen in a Pilsner glass so, swing and a miss there as well. This is an insulting representation of the treasure that is Deutsche Küche, and overly expensive Hard Pass!
Absolutely wonderful hole-in-the-wall authentic German restaurant. German imported beers on tap, some of the best red cabbage I've had, fantastic gravy on the schnitzel. A gem on Anna Maria Island. Dietary restrictions: Restaurant was unable to accommodate gluten free schnitzel at the time of our visit, but sometimes they can with enough notice.
Its 8:05 and an empty house, the hours posted show 9pm. I was just turned away. Disappointed
Great place to eat old style German food Yummy
