Had to wait quite a while because I didn't have a reservation I think some people came after me were seated before me typical for DC and the regulars & politicians / VIPs to get preferred service.

Make a reservation in advance! This place was packed and I was glad we had made reservations weeks in advance. The food was delicious and our server was knowledgeable. We ordered the cheese plate and the pairing was perfect. I ordered 2 crab cakes and fries and my husband had the scallops. All the food was delicious. We celebrated my husband‘s birthday and they were kind to light a candle and help us celebrate him. The only reason I’m giving this 4 stars is the noise level made it hard to hear each other.

A very busy, well maintained clean, very historic, extremely customer service oriented. The food was fantastic, fresh, and a Great cheeseburger. A bit price but that's D.C.
