Ol' South Pancake House

We really enjoy this place and its atmosphere. We have people come for appointments, and the wait staff is mostly attentive.

The woman and I came in for some chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes, cream gravy, fried squash, and Texas toast. The woman had carrots and cornbread with her meal. Very generous portion of chicken fried steak with a delicious, golden, crispy batter. I usually get fried okra which is so delicious but they were out tonight. Man the squash was on point. I’ll be alternating these two vegetables from now on because both are awesome. Had to pick up two pounds of their delicious coffee on our way out. I dumped my Keurig coffee maker a couple of months ago after bringing my mom here for some breakfast tacos that are always a favorite of ours. I’d been drinking coffee from the Keurig for several years because of convenience but after trying the coffee here I’ve been hooked ever since. Bought myself a Ninja machine and use a pound a week. I enjoy smelling that bag of coffee every morning when I’m making my half pot. Good food, friendly staff, and that old school feel feeling keep me coming back for more.

Our food came out cold twice after waiting for 30 minutes the first time.

Horrorible food. Waitress thought that she was a comedian. She wanted us to try theor German pancakes, said "no, Thank you. We are German." Then she informed us they weren't really German Pancakes?? After we had just told her we were German??? This was the second time there and stoll not impressed.

Great location and much better service than the original location. Seated us quickly and had a great server who took care of us and kept our cups full. Food was plentiful and delicious.

45 minute wait for a to go order and no ‘sorry’ or explanation in site. And when I got home I had no sausage, no butter, and no syrup.
