Okawa Sushi & Ramen

Service is great, even when they are busy. Food is delicious and authentic. You have to try the dessert!! Kid-friendliness: They loved the teriyaki! My kids are picky!!

UPDATE: Bad idea to order from this under-staffed restaurant on Valentine's Day. They grossly underestimated how long it would take to process our (small) order. Phoned at 5:20 and was told it would be half an hour. After waiting at the restaurant about an hour we finally got the order in hand at 6:45. Wow, that was fun. My boyfriend went in initially and they said the order was in progress. After a long time I went in to see what the hold up was. Other people have been waiting as well and ended up leaving cuz it was taking so long. The wait staff knew we were waiting but they were too busy and never checked in on us. I had to flag them down a couple of times to ask about our order. After an hour and a half after placing the order over the phone, finally, our order came out. They gave us two ice cream sandwiches for the inconvenience and apologized, but, sorry that just pretty much put a damper on the evening. And when we got home we saw they had forgotten to add the eel sauce to our unagi roll as well as the topping on our special roll. And the tempura was cold and soggy. It's such a bummer because we have had good experiences prior to this one. I don't feel like coming back here now after this bad one. Original review with photos: We've tried many of the local favorites (Kinza, Achita, etc.) but we wanted to try someplace new. Okawa showed up in the search and the reviews were quite positive. And for a good reason. The sushi was very well presented. Sushi rice tasted great and the fish was fresh. We tried the super white tuna and the hamachi sushi. Both were excellent especially the super white tuna. They had a very good selection of special rolls as well as traditional roles all quite reasonably priced. We had the dragon roll and the fancy hot roll. Both were delicious. We also had the vegetable tempura which was outstanding. Big portions and very light and crispy. Not greasy at all. Also, our server was very friendly and attentive. We're definitely returning to try their ramen! Parking: Plenty of parking as it's in a shopping plaza. Well lit, too.

Okawa, sushi and Ramen restaurant is very good. It has a very inviting atmosphere and the people are very friendly. The food is great and I really recommend that you come and enjoy. The prices mildly expensive but it’s probably the same as other restaurants of the same type in the area. I recommend ordering the Ramen spicy style if you like it although I also ordered the teriyaki chicken combo meal and that was very good as well. If you live in the area I definitely recommend you come by. Let the Falcon Fly!

The Sushi and Ramen were very good. The Fatty Tuna, Hamachi Belly and Salmon belly was tasty. The Tonkatsu Ramen was creamy and not so heavy. Mochi was delicious. Great service and good selections to choose from.

I've been here a few times and had their ramen. Had the tonkotsu black garlic ramen and the spicy tonkotsu. The black garlic was pretty good. Needed some spice. The spicy tonkotsu wasn't very spicy, and the egg was well done, so the yolk started to flake. sure if they were in a rush and had some pre-boiled eggs, but the eggs should not be well done with a flaking yolk. For $16 a bowl, it wasn't bad for the flavor, but it did leave me yearning for more authentic ramen. They have some happy hour menus that I haven't tried. They have Kirin and Sapporo, which are both really good. They also have a few tvs to watch some of the basketball games that are on. I haven't requested for them to change it to a different game, so I don't know if that's an option. The table has an automated ordering tablet, which you use to also call the waiter if you need them. They will come check on you once in a while so they aren't as attentive. They do have sushi as well, I just haven't tried it yet. Will come back to try the sushi.

Ramen and bento were excellent, super friendly and efficient service and cool kpop causal tunes in the bk... daughter loved it. Will be back soon!
