Probably the best one of this type in Manhattan. Unimpeachable.
A true hidden gem in Midtown! It’s a very discreet place and the only reason I know about it is because a friend brought here. Our entire experience was top tier. The restaurant has a classy Japanese vibe and they play jazz music. Try to sit at the bar if you can. Everything we ate was beyond delicious. Portions are on the smaller side but the way they prepare everything justifies the prices. The dishes were so flavorful and a lot of it was like nothing I’ve ever eaten before. I’m looking forward to coming back and trying more things on the menu.
You can always trust the chef
We had the miso hot pot with beef intestines, oden (turnips and beef tendon), grilled mackerel, and the warm Hakkaisan special junmai. The hot pot and oden had a strong umami flavor and the fish was incredibly crispy on the outside. The sake tasted rich and creamy. Overall a very enjoyable izakaya experience!
Here to Celebrate Our Valentine's Day !The Service is Phenomenal. All Those Dinks are so Refreshing! The Food is a true delicacy in Japanese cuisine We having a Great time at it !OKatte Tanto is a fantastic choice.
Just perfection. Food, service, ambience. We loved every dish and can’t wait to return.
Great food. Small portions but worth it
Food was okay but way overpriced and small in quantity. The service we received was very limited and the waiter is not attentive at all. We ordered noodle with our intestine pot but it didn’t come for 10 mins even after we asked for it again. The waiter never refilled our water even once.
