The space and interior of the restaurant will make you feel like you’ve been transported to Japan. It’s a great place to catch up with friends over beer, as long as you’re not too fussed with the food. The oden was great, and was a special for the day. We also had yaki onigiri, okonomiyaki, okan omu mix served with fried noodles. They tasted ordinary - portions are huge though. Felt like we ordered for 4 people, when there was only 2 of us. The matcha cake was really small, but was enough to be shared among 2 people after the heavy mains. The matcha taste was really rich, so probably the small size was just nice.
Small venue serves authentic Japanese food. We had lots of tapas. It was a miss and hit. Will try the main next time around.
Very delicious okonomiyaki, just as good as the Brixton branch. The staff are very friendly and attentive. It was fun to sit right on the counter to see the food being made and take in the atmosphere of the kitchen!
Thank you for lovely dinner Vegetarian options: Amazing selection
Came here for lunch/daytime date with my wife and enjoyed the food and casual vibe. It's a small Izakaya style restaurant but feels like it's been there for decades with its weathered decor. All the food was solid, from the oden starter and standout yaki onigiri to the squid okonomiyaki washed down with ice-cold Asahi. Very reasonably priced for a varied Japanese meal in the heart of the South Bank.
