Was excited to celebrate my marathon race day with a few drinks, then was denied service not less than 2 min when I walk in…. 1 server was kind enough to “allow” a drink to me, so that sentiment alone earned him a good tip…

The bouncer proudly misgendered me during pride. I wore my compression top and my shirt very clearly identified me as trans yet he made a whole fuss about going, "Why hello there, little lady!" I am a man. It was Pride. I was at a queer club. Your staff should know better than that. Regarding your horrible response: Of course it took me a while to leave a review. I’m not fully out. It took a lot of time to process what happened in a space where I’m supposed to feel safe and to speak up about it. So sorry it hurt your feelings on Christmas but that just so happened to be the day I finally felt brave enough to speak up. When it’s your first pride and you get misgendered by every staff member you interact with- and yes the bartender called me “ma’am” as well, if you wanna avoid misgendering then train your staff to avoid gender descriptors entirely if they’re not 100% sure, it’s not that hard- then yeah, it’s very hurtful. I also do not appreciate your use of my deadname, but I guess it checks out that you wouldn’t think that maybe I can’t use my real name on this email and that you could be causing further harm. You not only shamed me for speaking up, you outright refused to believe me. You have been very unprofessional and immature in your response. I do not believe you support trans people at all if you do not listen when a trans person calls you out- especially a shy, autistic, closeted one. You need to do some soul searching and figure out why your reputation and ego is more important than the fact that even one person felt unsafe in your establishment due to the actions of the staff. If you read this far, thank you for your time.

So fun! The team really know what they are doing! Came from abroad over Christmas and came in every single night! Drag queens were stunning and so friendly! Of course Lady Grackle slayed :) Thank you guys for the amazing time and letting us be a part of your Christmas :)
