It’s a different style pizza cheese goes on cold after the rest is cooked, really good !
I'm very bummed you switched your hours right before the Super Bowl to be closed on Sundays. This is the day for us yinzers living in Northeast Ohio to get together and enjoy a taste of home! That being said, these reviews are hilarious and sad. If you don't know what Ohio Valley Pizza is - that's what most of the negative reviews are - look it up before buying it. If you know, you know (hi Follansbee). And this place is as close as it gets outside the Valley. I have been eating this stuff since I got teeth, and OVPC knows the drill. I saw one commenter say that you're supposed to pick it up and let it get melty on the way home. Could not have said it better myself! It's not fancy, but it's damn authentic! I only give 4 stars because only Elm Grove and Wellsburg get 5 with the teeny, tiniest cheese pieces and thinner crust. But if you miss the taste of home, you need to eat here. And if you don't know what home I mean, look it up before you decide to order. It's not for everyone - and that's why it's beloved.
Grew up eating DiCarlos so wanted to try— disappointed we didn’t get to order— drove from Avon on 1/14 and business wasn’t open — hours show open — maybe another day — can’t give anything but 1 star for now
Great price and a little twist to what you are used to with pizza. Give it a try and a chance
I grew up in the Ohio Valley (Weirton/Follansbee). The pizza place down home was called DiCarlos Pizza. From what my wife found on OVPC site was, they were trained by DiCarlos to make this awesome goodness. I got the 4 piece last night for the first time. Just pepperoni and cheese. They young man prepared it just like I remembered. We got home and my nose and taste buds knew exactly what was in the box!! This is DiCarlos Pizza recipe and excellence! OVPC thank you for taking me back home and serving up some awesome pizza! I just want to say to those out there who are unsure because of the toppings not being cooked with the pizza.... ASK THEM TO COOK IT if you like it that way. The art of this pizza perfection is that you DO NOT eat it right away. You go and pick it up and then you drive it home. You wait to open the box. When you finally open the lid, everything is ready and not nuclear hot...
honestly probably the most disgusting thing I put in my mouth. Had no idea the cheese wasn't going to be cooked, yeah I read the vague as hell slogan but couldn't you have advertised it more or showed pictures? We literally weren't told at all, food truck didn't even have prices on it. no wonder this food truck had no lines gave it a chance anyway and by god it was disgusting, not even the crust or sauce was that warm. And the "cheese" gave me a disgusting after taste that lasted a good half hour. Just don't eat here, waste of money, go get normal pizza
I've been side eyeing this place for a while because who wouldn't want to bake their pizza toppings together?? However I decided to try it because they sell by the slice and it was actually super good!
