Oh My Soul

2024 update, Overall. The food here is great. I hate to seemly just be complaining... But damn it's way too expensive for what you receive. I also struggle to justify paying a typical 20% tip on premium priced entries for a food hall style service with a slow bar. It's addionally frustrating to have to go inside to order and find your drinks gone when you return to the table because the wait staff has taken it while your party is waiting at the bar for service. There are better spots in NODA and better vegan restaurants in Charlotte to drop $40 on a meal where you don't have to worry about the experience. _____ After trying about 40% of the menu over the last two years I feel Oh My Soul could do better as I am often disappointed with how mushy and wrong the food turns out for the average price you pay. I love what they stand for in Noda so please write off my experience as just a few bad nights. Starting off, I have never had a problem with the appetizers, fried and seasoned excellently. Can't go wrong with the jalapeno poppers, spirit rolls, and or crusted stuffed mushrooms. Simply beautiful. Imo, the entrees need more prep work, and there is seemingly a miscommunication with orders half of the time. The black bean burgers typically turn into just a cup black beans after the first bite, it's a good taste but the patties need a better char/grill to stay together. The beyond burger is solid, with a great taste and texture. The aioli and onion rings make it work. However, it's a toss-up whether they give you all the toppings or not so it's to better to specify how you want it if don't want to miss out on something. The "Vhicken waffle sandwich" is just fried unflavored tofu. The waffle, avocado, and vegan bacon destroy any of the crunch texture, making it mush. The lettuce/tomato/corn/maple dressing that was forgotten might help with that. The Seitan dishes are the best on the menu. The ranch wrap, bbq rib sandwich, and "wings" are an experience I recommend to try but get two servings as they come small. Skip over the drinks. They typically seem weak, wrongly made, and or mostly ice. Better value and quality down the street. The beer selection is fine but you pay a premium for the atmosphere. Overall, decent to great vegan spot to go with a group for the experience but solo/date dining there are much better locations.

For a hearty vegan food, this place is excellent. You definitely get a lot of bang for your buck and the atmosphere can't be beat. We came on a Saturday evening and it wasn't too crowded and there was live music, which was awesome. We will definitely be back!

Such an amazing experience from top to bottom! Aside from the delicious food, the service is splendid. The atmosphere is dreamy, especially in the evening. Every team member was extremely kind, from our server to the bartender. Theresa was amazing in educating us on select dishes and made great recommendations! We will be regulars.

I love trying out vegan dishes despite being a meat eater myself! I can absolutely, 1000 percent cannot deny the premium quality that Oh My Soul has to offer. Not just talking about the food, but the atmosphere and wonderful service I was treated to me and my friends that introduced me here. Morgan was an excellent staff member and I'm happy to have met a bright worker being herself while giving professional and exceptional service. Will definitely come back here again for sure :)

I want to give a big shout out to Ms autumn, Ms Theresa, and Josh. They are amazing. Their is also, a girl with tattoos, I'm forgetting her name, but she's amazing. They are always so kind and always help me out with my sweet tooth and food cravings. Appreciate ya'll. Hope ya'll see this comment.

Absolutely amazing food! The dessert is unbelievable and the food is to die for! Vegetarian options: This place is fully vegan. With AMAZING options! Parking: The area is busy, so parking is limited based on that. Plenty of street parking options around the surrounding streets. Kid-friendliness: Very fun and welcoming environment. They are located on the corner of a street, but the set up is well designed.

Visited in March of 2024. Gelato, filthy fries, and the soup of the day. Flavors and textures were on point. Such an array of gelato to choose from. Just visit, see, and taste it all. Since I was billed for TOGO packaging, I wish the soup was in one bowl and not two. Would recommend!
