10/10 food would recommend10/10 serviceNo problems whatsoever
We went there for dinner. It was our mistake for not looking into it, they do not serve food. The restaurant above the fitz serves food. It was hard to find online info about the fitz. But in their defense, it is an historical experience as a speak easy. It has a really cool 1920’s vibe. Brooke (sp?)was the bar maid. She was awesome to talk to. We went early so there were not too many people. There were some patrons who asked for mocktails and she was able to accommodate their request. I saw the music line up and the groups were top notch jazz groups. And they had absinthe! Haven’t had that since I went to Germany in 2013
Unless you want to wait for mediocre food, avoid this place. Always ridiculously long wait time for food.
Great place! The menu had so many excellent options. We shared a Syracuse poutine which was unusual in that is was made with potatoes instead of fries but it was delicious! Also had the maple bourbon salmon with corn risotto and vegetables. Another hit! Will definitely return when next in Syracuse.
Great ambience, food is super delicious burgers are finger licking good. Only problem was please don't put family with the kid near bathroom it is not a good gesture is the reason I am giving 4 stars.Recommended dishes Truffle Fries, Lee Lee's Chicken Sandwich, Buffalo Chicken …More
I have to say I wasn’t impressed with the food. For the price, the portions are small and the food didn’t have great flavor. The pictures look better than the food tastes, so it was a disappointment overall. Another reviewer mentioned the acoustics make it hard to have a conversation without yelling, and I’d have to agree because I felt like I was yelling when talking to people in my party.
So this is actually a review of The Fitz, a quaint and delightful speak is he located "secretly"underneath Oh My Darling restaurant. I'm not sure if there are any other speakeasies in the Syracuse area but this is the only one that I'm aware of and it's quite nice. The cocktail menu is small and leaves a little bit to be desired compared to other species that I've frequented but the decor is nice, they have live music which is a nice touch and the bartenders are very friendly. As long as they have the ingredients they can pretty much make any drink you want. I went on a Friday night, and it looks like maybe sometimes they have table service but on this particular night you have to order your drinks at the bar and bring them back to where you were sitting. Overall, I would definitely go back and I recommend that people check it out, at least once.
Small group or large they take care of you like family. Tonight Samantha was great as waitress and the drinks are amazing.
