I was out visiting the Jefferson monument and ended up in the area and found the Officina at The Wharf. The staff was nice, the service was fast, and the food was really good. I was told my meal (Buccatini all'Amatriciana) was the owner's favorite and it did not disappoint! Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.
Great service and bartenders for a private party! Salad was delicious, rest of food (bites) was okay.
Had brunch here. I ordered the orecchiette and was good. Pizza was small but tasted good too. Also liked their latte.
IMPORTANT NOTE: 3.5% initiative 82 fee will be added to your bill. Tip at your discretion. Vibe: Fancy. Dark jeans. Button up shirt. Popped collar. Food: Flavourful, packs a taste bud punch. Bread and olive oil is well worth the $2.50. Overall I was not knocked off my seat. Value: Ya get what you pay for. Homemade noodles are worth it. Service: Great, attentive. My water glass was never empty.
Great Italian restaurant by the Wharf
Officina at the Wharf has been one of our favorite brunch places since it opened. (They used to have a pop up in Georgetown as well — in addition to the downtown DC location). Love the dining room set up, the bar at the 1st floor cafe, and the open space. Some of our favorite dishes include: Fritto Misto (calamari), Polpette (braised meatball), Bucatini alla Carbonara, and Anatra (duck leg confit).
