Great barbecue and friendly staff

Place says its open on google but we went there for lunch and its closed for remodeling

Alot of people raved about this place being great and I don't want to disagree with them because I tried it only once but the food I had wasn't right I could taste lighter fluid on my ribs and things just were not right my family was disappointed and so was I. I will give them another try and hope it was just the day.

Great food, fast and polite service but they are a little pricey from what I recall. One of those places you go to celebrate something or someone. Maybe just to treat yourself but, not the place to make your weekly regular if your not made of money like myself. Don’t yawl confuse my words now, I been going there for years and will continue for years to come. All I’m saying is it’s just a little pricey, is all. Take care and God bless yawl!!!

I love this place especially their stuffed baked potatoes that they will stuff so full you can't hardly close the container. Their food is always hot and ready to serve and they have some of the best peach cobbler I have eaten for a restaurant. The staff is somewhat reserved at times but give them a smile when you order and they will warm right up to you. I would recommend this place hands down over anyone else BBQ place in town. Great food Good Folks that run it and you will get every bit what you pay for..... Parking: This place always has plenty of parking to accommodate their customers.

Love their BBQ, it's the best in Texas(my opinion), their potato salad is the best I've ever had they have perfected it and the taste is outta this world!!! You get so much food for the price AND 2 sides that are included in the price!!, unlike "other" BBQ places you pay extra for sides. THIS PLACE IS A MUST TO CHECK OUT!!!

We visited there on July 4, 2023. I was not impressed because the quality was not there with our food. This used to be a decent restaurant but now they are more expensive then most other BBQ establishments such as Soulman's or Cousin's. Their two meat plate is almost $5 more then these other 2 restaurants but if you want to support Black owned then this is the place for you. The sliced beef and sausage we ordered were on the dry side. The servings were also very, very skimpy for the price. The potato salad was seasoned with sugar! Now, I've heard of sugar in beans, greens, cabbage, carrots, corn, rice, grits etc.. but not in potatoes. They also give you a slice of white bread instead of Texas toast with the meal. Neither me or my husband thought it was very good. They also should consider remodeling the place because it's not very nice. But, we probably won't be back anyway.
