Oddfellows Tavern

The service is incredible. Our server was amazing. He had the patience of Job. My personal thanks to him!!! We had Sunday Brunch. First time at this restaurant. I could not have been more impressed with the food, atmosphere and service. I encourage everyone to try this place out!

We went there after a work trip to Lodi. The place caught our eyes of the historic old building. We went in, and we just missed lunch menu, but they accommodated us. The Assistant Manager Yohana was amazing and shared with us the history of the building and the different uses since it was built in the 1800’s. The food came out fast and it was good. We enjoyed our lunch and will go there again when we are out that way.

Service was great but food was far from what was expected from price/menu. Waited a long time to get our sub par meal. Bartender has always been great along with our server. Cocktails are great but could definitely have better craft beer options. Five star bartender and server but 0 star food gets 3 ⭐️ review.

We came by after wine tasting for a bday celebration. We showed up around 2:30pm and were handed one menu. We asked for drink menu and it took over 10 minutes to come. Mind you there was maybe 3 other groups there, maybe 10 people in total. After waiting and reviewing the menu our waitress came by and we ordered appetizers. When they finally came out half an hour later our waitress was ready to take our order. Well now it's past 3pm and the menu is now dinner. She took our menus away and came back w new ones. Now we had to redecide what we wanted. That was very annoying. Why not just hand us the 3pm menu to begin with? My steak was way over cooked and gray when I asked for medium. I had to wait for a new one while everyone was finishing up. We spent almost 2.5 hrs here, not by choice. If you come here, good luck.

Updated review on 1/9/2024. The manager contacted me promptly and graciously, apologized and refunded the total bill of $92.20. I will take up her offer to trry the restaurant again given the problems during management transition and how well the situation was handled. Here is, in part, what she wrote. Good afternoon, I sincerely apologize for the enormous inconvenience, I completely understand your frustration and I personally fully refunded your bill regarding 12/12. I also would like to invite you to visit our restaurant again and let me know so I can give you the proper customer service that every customer deserves. Contacted them on 12/16/2023. Emailed them again. Updated review on 12/16/2023 Well, I didn't think it could get any worse. I was wrong. It did. I was overcharged $20.00 on the check. Bill was $72.20. Left $2.80 tip. Even $75.00. Credit card was charged $92.20. Restaurant doesn't answer phone. Rings busy and line drops. Called 5 times. Contacted restaurant through their website and asked to be contacted and the situation rectified ASAP. I will contact my bank next. ‐---------------- Review 12/12/2023. Just shockingly awful. So disappointing. Even the owner's mother and father were seated near by sent their food back and complained about horrible food and service. Last time we went a few years back, it was great. This time? Just awful. Ordered Xmas peppermint white chocolate martini. Was light green watery creamy anf burned our throats. Glasses were small margarita glasses. Sent back. Had to explain to bar tender what the issue was. He said all ingredients were peppermint based. Asked for chocolate martini. No chocolate liquer. Only chocolate powder. Ordered a lemon drop. Got a watered down awful tasting milky fake margarita mix tasting drink. Sent back. Asked for club soda and lime. Told me there was no club soda. Hmmm? Ordered 2 appetizers. Were just ok but served luke warm with no plates. Asked for plates. Got dinner plates. Then brought bread plates. Then Asked to split pumpkin pasta carbonara dish. Plain and tasteless. Served with no plates. Owner's mother and father were near by and noticed and said they were equally disappointed in their meals. Took 20 minutes to get the bill and pay. Awful on all counts...drinks, service, and food. One good note is the atmosphere is quite nice, cozy. Read revision above about being overcharged $20.00 on the check. Contacted restaurant at their web page on 12/16 and emailed them as well. Waiting for response.

Great appetizers and wine selection.

Great food and a perfect date night spot. The lamb appetizer was particularly memorable! We had the ribeye and lobster mac along with a couple of desserts. Would definitely come back to try more things.

My recent visit to Oddfellows tavern left me profoundly disappointed due to an array of issues with the customer service. Our server was consistently rude, neglected follow-ups, and initially presented an 18% gratuity for our party of five, only to remove it when questioned. What puzzled me further was why the gratuity was added in the first place, especially for a relatively small group. When we inquired, the server’s response lacked transparency, leaving us uneasy about the entire billing process. Moreover, I overheard a conversation with another guest expressing dissatisfaction with the prolonged wait for her order. The server’s Amin response was dismissive, attributing the delay to a busy kitchen. However, his audible remark under his breath, expressing insincerity with a loud “not sorry,” was incredibly unprofessional and added to the overall unpleasant experience. The combination of these instances has left me questioning the standards of service at Oddfellows tavern. I hope this feedback prompts the necessary improvements for future patrons.
