The diner, under new ownership still offers most of the great menu items as it did under the previous ownership. The staff are all friendly and work hard to make sure your food is always amazing. Their Cuban sandwich is always the best, as well as most of their daily specials. I do wish they would consider adding one or two dessert items that are low carb/made with a sugar alternative. Many of us have dietary restrictions and I believe they would have many customers that would appreciate these options. If you never visited the diner when it was Betty's Oceanview Diner, then you certainly should now. This is truly one of the best affordable dining options in otherwise overpriced Berkeley dining.

Great place for breakfast. I ordered the strawberry peach soufflé and well worth it.

It is our staple! We're here 2-3x per month. Omelettes and Mexican scramble are worth dying for. Sourdough pancakes, when they have them, are amazing.

Pricey but delicious! We spent $75 for 3 coffee, and 3 breakfasts and including tip for just 3 people… When we sat inside it was super loud. If you don’t like loud noises then I recommend sitting outside since the dishes are constantly crashing and it’s super fast paced environment. The food was super delicious! Our waiter was very impatient with us but we were there during rush hour so…
