I had a great experience tonight celebrating my 28th anniversary with my wife & youngest daughter. Tonight was very busy & there was a 45min wait for a party of three to be seated without preference indoor or outdoor. We decided to take a stroll on the pier to pass the time until our table was available. After 30mins we eagerly checked to see if the wait time improved. Luckily, the manager named 'Tree' was helping the front desk hosts with seating everyone quickly. They promptly grabbed our menus & seated us outside. The ambiance of the restaurant was warm an inviting although the amber lighting was a bit disconcerting causing the color of your appetizers & dinner to appear less appealing. However, once you took a pic with your cell flash enabled you can definitely see the food looked as delicious as it tasted. We had a great experience at the Oceanic and special thanks to the manager 'Tree' for working efficiently with his team to make my wedding anniversary stress-free 🙏🏽

I have been coming here so many times but tonight I had the worse experience ever. I always come to the bar and sit on the side tables. I asked the hostess to sit at the bar no “waiting list needed” she confirmed so we proceed to the look for a table. I confirmed again with a waitress that it was ok just to sit there she said yes. So we sat and then an African American man Called “ Tree” abruptly approached us not in educated way like you would expect an assisting manager would speak. He said we need a “ Reservation” as they were busy and had 50 people on the waiting list. So I went to the hostess boot again and asked as he said for a “Reservation” he was back there at that section and said that we’re taking reservations for 6 people ? I tried to ask clarifying questions about the confusion if he suggesting me to make a reservation but then there was no way to make a reservation for a party of 3 neither the hostess short chubby with blond hair suggested to put our names in the waiting list. My friend came back to the hostess boot and as we were waiting to speak there was a couple also inquiring about waiting time and they were informed that it was about 20 minutes. When I asked the girl blond hair that prior told me there were no reservations taken for a party of less than 6 neither suggested to put our names in a waiting list. Her answers was “ I can’t read your mind. I have never felt so humiliated, disrespected like I did tonight. I don’t come here to ask for free things I come to spend my money that helps to pay those employees salaries. During this economy employees should be grateful that people still come out to eat outside and with that money they have a job. Upper management either coach your managers, assisting manager and everyone involved dealing with customers how to provide a 5 star service. This is not Burger King to act or treat customers like we have no value.
