Steak was not succulent. We ordered medium rare. The steaks should have been juicy. They were dry and had the most prominent charcoal taste. We should have gone to Halls Chophouse. Service was outstanding .
This steakhouse in Charleston, which I once held in high esteem, fell short of expectations on my latest visit. The steak, rather than being flavorful, was dominated by an overpowering charred taste, rendering it nearly impossible to enjoy. The Brussels sprouts shone as a tasty highlight, yet the rest of the side dishes were merely passable. Overall, I’d rate the experience a 4 out of 10. For those craving a steak, I suggest looking elsewhere for a more satisfying meal.
Great drinks! We sat at the full service bar and had a terrific evening.
The food, service, and atmosphere are perfect here. There is complimentary valet parking, the wait staff are beyond attentive, and the food was so good. My mom was given a complimentary dessert for her birthday. I am a vegetarian and I love that they have a vegetarian dish each night. It was excellent. I’m sure they could be accommodating for vegans as well, but I’d love to see an addition on the menu for this without having to eliminate ingredients from dishes. I’ll usually choose a vegan option over vegetarian. We will definitely come here again for special occasions. EDIT: Have come here MULTIPLE times after this. They've added a permanent veggie option. I am the worst though - I don't like mushrooms. Sometimes the dish is mushroom based. The chef is absolutely wonderful and makes a completely different dish because of this. This place is truly exceptional.
My sister came to town to visit me for my husband's 3rd anniversary for his passing. And since we never got a chance to eat here. I gave it a try. Food was good. Our waiter Sam just wasn't Attentive to us, like what I am use to at a high scale restaurant. So it makes me not give 5 stars. The manager checked on us and thanked us for coming in.
