Fantastic Japanese food! Very reasonable and just excellent cuisine!
Best food open till 11:30 pm
I had just gotten out of the ER on a chilly Friday evening in late February after being in the middle of a 3 car pileup on 99. My condition was extremely painful and discouraging because not only were my sushi plans canceled after such a long duration of inability to find free time, but they were originally made because I already felt like garbage from dealing with a rough divorce. Just my luck, I go to do something good for myself and it backfires. My best friend and I found Otoro on Google around 9 pm whilst waiting for the tow truck after my other friend's car battery completely died in the middle of a parking garage when he tried to charge my phone with it. It looked like food in general wasn't going to happen. Fortunately, the tow person showed up in the nick of time, and we were able to get to dinner at the last minute. I had a terrible day that day, but it was made much better by the customer service, ambiance, and wonderful food. I'll have to come back here under better circumstances. I recommend the Orange Blossom Roll. Gotta do what you gotta do...
Fast service, nice experience for a date or with friends, adult friendly. I wouldn't recommend bringing kids, but teens are okay. The food is a bit pricey but makes it up with the freshness and great taste Vegetarian options: The menu lets you know what is included in the sushi and lets you know if it's Vegetarian approved.
Very nice corner view. Rolls were good. Sushi rice was on point. Wagyu beef just melts in your mouth. And the spider roll was crispy.
Sat outside... Servers served the food without bothering us. :) Perfect.
Firstly I did go on Valentine's Day so any shortcomings might be from high demand, it was quite busy! The hospitality and service were perfect. Servers were very cordial and the space was clean. We didn't feel rushed despite the crowd. Everyone was very accommodating, and the restaurant was clean. I order a ton of dishes, so the 50-100 per person accounts for that. I think someone could spend 30-50 comfortably and have a full meal. Unfortunately my issue is with the food. Clearly the ingredients are high quality, but it feels like the sauces and cooking techniques were more likely for lower quality ingredients. This is not to say there's no skill or talent with cooking, but it really covered up the flavor of the expensive ingredients they were using. The sashimi seemed very fresh, I really think I either went on an off day or some adjustments to the dishes would really elevate the quality of the food. Oh! The oysters were very good too, even if they were pretty pricey I would definitely get them again! I'll be coming back sometime to see if the quality of the food is any different! Parking: 5 dollars for the lot across the street if there's no street parking
I asked for extra wasabi and soy sauce for to go order…They charged me a dollar and gave me two packets, when I asked for more they gave me attitude.
