The beer is surprisingly good and dependably good—from such a small brewery. Customer service is always friendly. Bathrooms are always clean. The book theme throughout adds a fun element that does not sacrifice on quality. They have some games to play and fun events like trivia nights. There’s also outdoor seating in the side lot and sometimes food catering comes, like Peruvian Hot Dogs. You can get beers by the glass or tasting flights. They also sell beer to go in cans and growlers. There’s a limited selection of non-alcoholic beverages.

Novel is a local brewery in Oakland with a very good beer from their sour to their stout. They serve their flights in hardback novels. For an avid reader like me, it was impressive.They have pop ups all the time. Today’s was Peruvian hotdogs from llama. The ambience is well done and very casual. Dogs are welcome in fact they have a polaroid wall of Dogs.

Such a great, low key brewery. Beers are great too!

Great outside space. Helpful friendly staff. Rotating beers. Good selections. Taco truck Tuesday and Sundays is great.
