I had lunch with friends at Not Watsons yesterday, and paid with my credit card. It's been ages since my credit card has left my hands, and ages since I've been to a restaurant where I had to allow someone to have my card in their hands out of my sight. This morning I got a notice that my card had been used to order something from Amazon. I called the restaurant 4 times and got a recording that the mail box for that number was not set up to take messages. On the 5th time, I reached a hostess on the phone, I explained to her what had happened and that I wanted to speak to a manager. The hostess told me the manager was Lena, and she went to ask her to talk with me. The manager refused to come to the phone. The hostess apologized and I very nicely (not a Karen) asked her again to ask the manager to speak with me. Again Lena refused to speak to me, said she was just too busy. The hostess apologized profusely and said she would see if she could find someone to talk to me about my credit card being compromised, she came back and said that she had done all she could do, and Lena had flatly refused to speak to me. I left my name and number with the hostess. I need to say, I don't particularly believe it was the waitress, but maybe their system they use for credit cards may have been compromised. Needless to say, I will never be back to this restaurant.
I went in with an open mind and with a decent amount of excitement, only to be very disappointed. I had the pork belly tacos as an appetizer, which was mediocre. And when it came to entrées, I had the Not Your Mama's Chicken and Waffles and it was terrible... the chicken was super dry and flavorless, the cheddar waffles were not crispy and were very floppy. And the honeydew was meh at best. The honeydew was fibrous and chewy and even kind of slimy, but some pieces were okay... pretty sad and disappointed.
Pasta was good but the waiter was short with me and wouldn't tell me where the pasta is made. The tomatoes weren't that good however my husband enjoyed them. The alligator meat was good and fun to try. Vegetarian options: Always options to get shrimp only Parking: Downtown parking garage
Not Watsons was the best meal I had in Knox. I had the chimi-churri flatiron after my server Kyle recommended it - it was unbelievable. Not to mention the mashers that came with it were the best I think I’ve ever had. Amazing food, amazing service, 11/10 would recommend.
First time coming here. It is a neat/clean place. They do have a kids menu which is a plus. My daughter got the Mahi and it was amazing! I got the pasta with scallops it was very fresh. They have a large liquor option. Would highly recommend trying it.
Sat at a high table by the bar. Our wait guy took our order AND was bar tending (must have been short on staff). He never once stopped moving and got everything done efficiently. Food was good, not big servings, but decently priced. Vegetarian options: Portobello mushroom burger, salads
