North High Brewing - Westerville

We have been to North High in Dublin and Westerville many times. Love the beer and food. Today we stopped for an appetizer while waiting for my wife to finish an appointment. The place was packed so we sat down at the bar and were greeted kindly by the bartender with menus. After sitting for a few minutes waiting for service the other bartender asked if we were waiting on a table. When I said no we were just getting an appetizer. He rudely said “no kids at the bar man, it’s a state law”. I understand that establishments can have rules, just say so. When I challenged him he told me to look it up. There is no law and your bartender is a jerk for talking to me the way he did in front of my little girl.

Food is good, waiters are super nice, the back yard is really cool with a huge outdoor screen and games and additional bar! Awesome addition to Westerville's growing restaurant and bar scene

Today, I went for a lunch visit for my second time at this gem in Westerville. As one can see, the restaurant was squeaky clean, both bar and floor. Ambiance is very pleasant, with terrific lighting and outdoor space. The entree I selected was a seasonal Ranchero burger. Undoubtedly, this was a 5-star winner in my burger diary. This contained 7 ounces of local beef, fried onions, tomato paste, and crunchy bacon. The paste added an exceptional tangy flavor to the overall profile. Complimenting this was a hefty salad portion of greens with ranch dressing. Service was warm and accommodating at the bar, so the next time I visit, it will be for dinner or a future lunch.

Great space and service! I still don’t comprehend why people enjoy their beer though. If you’re into being a “fancy” suburban family that must drink with their child, then this is the place for you! There’s a lot of places that are closer by that are significantly superior.

Had reservations and hostess took us to our table immediately despite place being packed. My husband had a burger, I had the filet. Both meals were excellent. I had a couple cocktails and those were top notch as well. Only point of suggestion is to have a wider variety of beers - too many IPA's on the menu. What was available was good, but not enough variety.
