My favourite restaurant. 10/10 food - Rendang, Laksa, Asam Pedas, and roti are all mind blowing. Have visited several times and it's amazing every time.

Such a fantastic hidden spot serving mind-blowingly good dishes. The restaurant seating area is just one small windowless room, incredibly tucked away at the end of an indoor shopping parade - but I actually loved the way it all added to the ambience. You really felt completely transported from central London to a no-frills local restaurant in Malaysia. Our group of three ordered the prawn laksa (hot, creamy, wonderful), the steamed bass (so flaky, fresh, tender, with a bright sour sauce) and the beef rending with roti - which was probably one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. The juicy, fall-apart beef chunks, stewing in an aromatic coconut sauce, paired with the flakiest, butteriest (some would say overly oily), crispest roti imaginable. The kind of food that drains conversation as everyone just tucks right in, occasionally pausing to make contented noises, and struggles to keep hands and faces clean! You will definitely need to ask for more tissues. Staff were so friendly and welcoming, service was decent (there’s only one waiter who does his best) and prices are reasonable for the generous portions. Highly recommend.

Best Malaysian food in London. The vegetarian mee curry was amazing and simply delicious. The nasi lemak was the highlight of my entire meal - sambal tastes just like home. Thanks Kak Normah and the lovely abang that serves us!

Delightful cooking full of heart and soul. There is so much to celebrate at Normah’s, the service was excellent, efficient and friendly and the cooking is full of flavour and textures. The beef rendangs sweetness was perfectly offset with powerful lime leaf flavour and sourness of tamarind and the crispy chicken was truly crispy in a way it often isn’t. The dhall with roti was also absolutely lovely, the best roti I can remember eating. There is nothing pretentious at Normah’s just really good cooking.

Oh wow! One of the last restaurants we went to on our first visit to london and literally the best food by far and we went to at least 20 other restaurants in town. I got the halal leemak beef. It was so delicious. Recommend reserving a table. The waiter was sweet and it is definitely a hidden gem! Thank you for the yummy food!!

No doubts that Normah’s is one of the best Malaysian restaurants in London. Despite being quite the elusive hidden gem in a slightly unusual building, the atmosphere inside Normah’s is so quaint and pleasing and we genuinely felt like we were in Malaysia. The food was amazing, not too greasy and filled us perfectly. Special mention that this was probably the best fried chicken I’ve had in a while. Also had the honour of meeting and thanking aunty Normah for her food. Absolutely recommend this gem of a place to anyone with a craving for Malay food!

Normah’s was just 6minutes from our accommodation and I found it while searching for a place for dinner on Google maps. One of best Malaysian food I have had in London! Don’t expect any fancy restaurant, it’s a very simple venue, but the food is amazing!! We went here two days in a row and our favourite was the prawn laksa and prawn nasi goreng. The flavour of the prawn laksa broth was out of this world! It’s just like eating delicious home cooked food! You can taste that it’s made with so much love and care! Already making plans to come down again next time I’m in London! P.S - this is my first ever Google review! Just wanted to share to the world how amazing and delicious this place is!
