I've stopped here to get soup on my rainy NYC trip. Yes I've read all the complaints about tipping servers and I got noodle soup and green tea you know it's nothing fancy. I've sat there maybe 30 min. maximum. Server gave me the bill and I choose to pay with credit card, she asked me how much I'll give tip, I told her if she could show me the tablet that I can choose tips, she started rolling her eyes, I choose %15 which is not bad for 1 person sitting on the corner of restaurant and sitting only 30 min. DEFINITELY WORST SERVER I'VE EVER SEEN.
Always on-point food! Congee and soup dumplings are my go to on a cold day. It’s affordable, delicious, and comforting. What more can you want?
I've been to a few places in Chinatown, but I always come back here for their wonton noodle soup. I would say their wonton noodle is very authentic. However, the prices have gone up over the years and the noodle bowl portions are getting smaller. A bowl used to be quite filling, but it doesn't get me full anymore. The space is pretty cramped so be prepared to get really comfortable with seating close with other customers. We normally pay by cash, so fees aren't an issue. Their suggested tips on the receipt are calculated correctly; they use the pre-tax subtotal. Many places base it on the total after taxes, so do the math yourself.
Hot pot chicken didnt look like chicken or taste like chicken. I would recommend regular kitchen inspections
Very nice place, would recommend
The dim sum was delicious, especially the soup dumplings and scallion pancakes! It was a bit cramped in there, but the staff was so nice and we didn't mind having to share a table with strangers.
