Best place we’ve eaten so far in Denver definitely will visit again. Bartender Christy was on point, she let us sample the different types of sides since we were visiting from Texas. Owner was super fun. The food! Amazing came out fast and the seasoning was on point shoutout to the chef. This is authentic food and the vibe was great. We had fried okra, catfish and gumbo and chicken tenders and red beans. Everything we had was amazing. We smashed the food I wish I had taken pictures. This is a must place to visit if this type of food is your vibe.
Love the food, service is ok. It's a gem in its location. Their online ordering needs some work. I placed an order ahead of time and they barely put it in when I got there but I didn't have to wait but 10 minutes more, it was only an issue because I was on my break from work. But the crawfish ettoufee is my go to. A great hole in the wall
i placed a catering order for pick up for my school's black history month appreciation day. i was taken care of mainly by henry, the owner of the restaurant, and received excellent service! he was so friendly and made me feel like family! he answered all of my questions about food allergies, cost, time for pick up, etc etc and it was seamless. when i got to the restaurant for pick up, my order was already ready to go and henry carried the food out to my car for me! even though i didn't get to dine at the restaurant, i really loved the decor and warm atmosphere, i could tell it was a great restaurant just from henry's vibes anyways. NOW on to the food !! they don't have vegan options, but they do have some food gluten free options !! i ordered food for 45 people: fried green tomatoes, hush puppies, chicken wings, jambalaya, gumbo, and red beans & rice. everything was soooo tasty + we had almost no left overs even though our event only had around 20 people! lots of people took food home because it was so good, and everyone left full and happy! my favorite was the jambalaya! i will definitely be going back to get food here and hopefully dine in! highly recommend w all appreciation + gratefulness thank you so much henry & nola voodoo tavern happy black history month !!
I am in town from Austin and one of the folks I work with recommended NOLA and holy cow I’m glad they did!! I got the sampler (definitely add the red beans and rice!!) and hush puppies and everything was amazing!! I highly recommend the is place I will definitely be back in again before I leave town.
Really cool bar with up top level. Plenty alcohol and good service. Solid prices and the food came very fast surprisingly. Po boy and okra good. The okra stew tasted like thick okra soup with chili pack seasoning. For a Bar it’s great. TV’s, with good music and good menu. Other Bars near
Idk man, they have like 5 things on their menu and to be sitting here at 5pm being told "I haven't started the jambalaya yet" doesn't seem like a good business practice. It also took almost 20 minutes for fried pickles to hit the table, when we are the only customers here . Ehh I won't be returning.
Think Google tapped or pinged me in route to another location... Don't have proper assessment yet ...
