Very cute local cafe with coffee, tea, pastries, and other food. Good place to use WiFi and work from.
Very dissapointed. We drove up from Longview, Wa (2.5 hr drive without traffic) and stopped in. everything looked really yummy, a little spendy but wanted to support the small business, my mom got their cinnamon roll for 5-6 dollars, can not remember the exqct price, and it was rock hard. She took a bite and ended up throwing it away. It had to be 3 days old or so because when she took a bite it tasted stale also. Just not a good experience.
I visited this bakery today around the afternoon and selection was sparse and didn’t look great. They didn’t have AC, so it was hot and stuffy inside. Prices weren’t displayed on anything, which is really annoying. Put up prices! Only one person was working, so I had to wait 15 mins before being acknowledged and served. Despite the poor selection, I decided to order a few cake slices, hoping there were more in a refrigerator. Without washing her hands or putting on gloves, the person running the counter pulled 2 slices from a small refrigerator and put them in the box with her bare hands after serving several customers. For the 3rd slice, she then put a half eaten slice of cake sitting on a plate on the counter behind her into another box and handed it to me. After getting a closer look, it was definitely half eaten and had a dark hair in it… disgusting! I gave it back and she threw it in the garbage telling me that was the last slice unless I wanted the one sitting out on display, which looked gross because it had been sitting out in the heat for several hours. I declined. I’ve never been grossed out at a bakery before. Also, the 2 slices of cake I did get were terrible! Really dry and tasteless. I will not be returning and do not recommend this place. Very unsanitary. Update: In response to the business’s reply below, the person who served me did NOT wear gloves or use tongs or paper. She used her bare unwashed hands. I was standing right in front of the pastry case watching her. Not sure how you have an “excellent” rating. You might need to be reevaluated.
I have wanted to meet friends there for coffee and pastries in the morning, but they don't open until 11:00. Their reviews are great but need some morning hours. Maybe open at 9:00
Kristen is wonderful and I enjoyed a great meal with a friend with a great pot of tea. Go for Milk Oolong and Avocado Toast!
