At Niu, I felt like I was back in Spain, chowing down on some seriously authentic grub. The dishes were packed with fresh ingredients, and you could tell the chefs really put their hearts into it. While the desserts weren't my jam, everything else was delightful . Niu is the spot to hit up if you're craving some real Spanish-Catalan eats. Despite its small and cozy vibe, Niu could use a bit of a facelift, especially when it comes to the tables they are a bit beat up and could do with some renovation. However, the charm and authenticity of the place shine through.
Excellent Catalan food. Staff was very friendly and attentive as well. Highly recommend the rice dishes.
Seafood paella and octopus were very well done. Service was very unconcerned about our table as customers and could not be bothered to provide anything above the bare minimum.
Dropped by NIU Kitchen for a taste of Spain right in downtown Miami and it didn't disappoint! Chef Deme Lomas serves up a creative blend of past and present, making every plate a personal journey back to Catalonia. The vibe? Totally laid-back. You're meant to relax, enjoy your company, and dive into those dishes and natural wines. And don't skip on NIU Wine down the block for a cozy wine experience. Both spots are a must-visit for anyone wanting to indulge in genuine Spanish cuisine and wine. - Derek
Our reservation was at 8:00 pm and they seated us at 8:25 and the attitude of the host and other staff was very unfriendly, the food was average, nothing was outstanding to be honest, the seafood paella was not good at all. Very expensive for what you get. The server made the effort to be nicer with us, he tried compensating with a dessert but this doesn’t change my opinion in an overall review, this a fair review. Atmosphere could’ve been nicer but we could barely listen to the music.
Excellent food and great wine list.
Great overall, the artichoke is exceptional!
