I absolutely love their food I haven't had anything that I didn't like
BAYBEEEEEE!!! This Nine One One newbie stopped in today after unsuccessfully securing the bag several times because they were sold out. I learned my lesson, went early, and I finally understand the hype, y'all. It's been so long since I've found a place that has that home-cooked taste AND is actually worth the price. The nostalgic feeling of being in my family's kitchen was just an added plus!
Some of the best bbq on the Southside!!!
Have gone multiple times. Never again on a Saturday. They're always out of everything. Went at 1:00 in the afternoon today (a Saturday) and they were out of ribs! When I was lucky enough to get an order, it was tasty, but it's too unreliable. Can't be sure that they will have any ribs, and it's a BARBECUE PLACE, for goodness sakes! The two times I was able to get what I came for was on a weekday. So maybe that's the trick - don't go on a Saturday. My kids kept saying I was foolish for going back, but the order I did get was good, and their sides are delicious, so I thought I'd keep trying. Well, I'm done now.
Food is excellent! Worth the drive! Congrats on this gem, Mr. Trotter
This is a Black owned establishment. The food is simply amazing. The ribs, tips, chicken, and brisket are tender and well seasoned. Also, the restaurant offers soulful sides such as collard greens mac n cheese, yams, cornbread, and peach cobbler. By 3pm, EVERYTHING is sold out. ✨️
I had heard about this place and finally stopped in. Small spot, very clean and tidy. Owner was behind the counter working hard. We ordered brisket sandwich and ½ a smoked chicken. I wanted to try their greens, but they didn't have any ready. We also tried their Mac and Cheese. It wasn't really remarkable, but the brisket and chicken are definitely reasons to visit again.
