We ended up going to Nik’s on a Saturday night because they didn’t have a wait. The atmosphere inside is great. It’s clean and well decorated with a beautiful little outdoor sitting area. We were promptly greeted and led to a table. That’s where things took a turn. They lack a waitstaff and they ask you to use a QR code and order from your phone. You order drinks at the same time so you only have water as you wait. Menu was a mix of cuisines- minor Italian pasta dishes that appear very basic (which you add ingredients to after for an up charge- meat, veggies, seasoning), some American fare like burgers, Mexican food, and the oddly placed pot roast nachos!? Prices were decent and kids menu was good. Food was very lackluster. Meatballs seemed store bought, boiled with no flavor and sauce tasted tinny and plating was messy. Staff that brought out the food was very nice but nobody ever checked on your table forcing us to reorder and recharge our drinks just so that we could get a refill (extra charges were later taken off) Probably would not return, but decent if everywhere else is full.
I have cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and limited use of my right arm. For these reasons, I am training a service dog. The trainer and I just completed a training session at the Four Points Home Depot and we were refused service(at Niks). While the ADA says all reasonable accommodations should be made, some businesses choose to deny service to us. I recognize how difficult running a business can be. I guess I can take my business elsewhere. I always heard good things about the food. I guess I'll never know.
Buzzy vibe. Has the feel of a neighborhood bar and restaurant too Good looking bar with multiple large TV screens. Solid cocktails Terrible ordering system. Poor service setup. One person running all over the place. Felt bad for him. Legendary - probably as good as it gets • Spicy Mexican Tini Loved - must order again • Mexican Martini • . • Penne mushroom chicken pasta *** • Vodka chicken pasta - ask for a little less red sauce • Jalapeño chicken pasta - ask for fresh instead of pickled jalapeños Liked - not all that bad but not super • The bread
The Chicken Parmigiano with jalapeño lime sauce is the focus point on the menu. The chicken was breaded well and cooked right. Pasta was very nice and the sauce is damn good. Would highly recommend. Vegetarian options: Gluten free penne, jalapeño lime sauce and vegetable was a great dish. Hard to find good places that offer flavorful dishes while being gluten and vegetarian sensitive.
Update: I half to change my 5 star review. This place has gone down hill. I used to love it. The new order process is awful, food quality has gone down, and honestly won’t be returning. They are opening a new Italian place very close and hoping that place redeems the italian choices in the area. Tried this place for the first time! I thouroghly enjoyed everything that we ordered and it was quite a bit. Jalapeno lime chicken, penne w/ vodka sauce, and the chicken rigatoni wi/ marsala sauce, every single one of those dishes was super flavorful! We also had several apps and tried the tomatoe mozzerella w/ arugula!! I will definitely be back.
First time visit this evening... food was absolutely delicious, drinks were outstanding, service was impeccable!
Feel like our waiter could have been more attentive.
This restaurant consistently serves tasty, great quality Italian dishes. Personally not a fan of ordering online via smartphone, but the service otherwise is good. There is an excellent variety of seating options: indoor, outdoor, bar, and island- making this an excellent place for dates, gathering with friends & family, or just hanging out to watch your favorite sports.
