I am a local, live on Hollywood beach. I had not stopped in to Nick's in a while and this past Sunday April 28th I decided to stop by for dinner and sat at the bar. I ordered the coconut shrimp and the mahi sandwich. This place is SO EXPENSIVE for the garbage bar food that it serves. I went home and within 1 hour of being home I had a violent attack of food poisoning. You guys should reimburse me the $90 I spent there on Sunday night due to the fact that I threw up my life and almost had to call 911. It was a horrible episode of food poisoning, the fish tasted funny I should have never eaten it. I am sure the shrimp and fish were old or rotten, it was just gross. I am never eating there again. This was bad, you should have your kitchen looked into by some sanitary body governing the restaurants on the Hollywood Broadwalk. I thought I was going to die from sweats, nausea, vomiting and I will spare you on other details. NEVER AGAIN
App came out with entrees. Everything was way overcooked. Our burgers came out well done and burnt.
Great place to eat right on the Boardwalk facing the Beach and Ocean. The restaurant was clean and well staffed by friendly employees. Restrooms were also available. The Food and Drink menu has something for everyone and the prices were fair and the portions were more than adequate. The Burger was gigantic and cooked as ordered. Our Server EDDIE was the Best!
Great place for food & drinks
Over the many years this place has been my go to place for music and to 'shake a leg'. But, now they've added so many flat screens in that small space, it feels like an awkward sports bar. If I wanted those stupid flat screens & male geared noise, I would go to duffys. I didn't even hear the singer Craig sing! He was there like a DJ and it was 11 p.m. I was so disappointed. Stop changing Nick's bar. please. Thanks! Parking: $3.00 p/hr week days, $4.00 p/hr fri, Saturday and Sunday. It's the best value..(you can also use the Margaritaville Hotel parking garage, but the way it's laid out gives me the creeps)..so, either way, there are at least 3 public parking garages which leave you directly on the broadwalk.
