This Newk's Eatery does not have the self service items that Newk's restaurants usually have. No roasted garlic, croutons, jalapenos, pickles cheese, etc. out to add to your soup, sandwich, salad, or pizza. The food and service were good except there was no roasted garlic. It makes a difference.
This one star rate is just for the cashier. I don't know what's her name, but I was there at Jan 25th, 8pm. Her behavior is terrible with customers. Keeps scrolling her phone.
Food is always fresh. The only problem I ever have is they get very confused when I ask them not to put my toasted Parisian bread (side that comes with my soup) in a plastic container with a lid and instead just wrap it in sandwich wrapper. I do this because I think it's wasteful to use the clear plastic containers for toasted bread and also because putting toasted bread in a plastic container makes it soggy. They're usually really nice about it but it causes a tremendous amount of confusion each time. Parking: Depending on the time of day, parking could be tight. In the evenings and weekends there is no problem.
Food was great, service was good, food came out in a decent amount of time, and it wasn't overly expensive.
Clean atmosphere, large portions for the price. Food is served looking just like the pictures on the website. The staff is quiet, but very helpful and polite. I'm a pilot, so you know we're always looking for the best deals and tasty food. This is definitely a place I'd come back to when in town again. I had the Newts club and the loaded potato soup and both were great! I'm a big guy, but it filled me up. It's not uncommon to see people leaving with to-go boxes though. I spent $14.84 and am very satisfied. I only wish I took a picture of my food before I ate it. You won't be disappointed, try Newts if you have a chance.
