Food was fine, but if you have dietary restrictions be careful, as the staff don't all quite know what allergens are in some things
The food was good, but nothing to write home about. Was in the mood for dessert, too, but when we asked to see the selection, the cashier brought out a bunch of saran-wrapped items that were totally unappetizing. Oh, well. Not the very best meal we had while visiting Austin.
A shrimp Po'Boy is an iconic sandwich and it is only ever made one way. That is fried shrimp with slaw on a kaiser roll. Sometimes people like to get adventurous and put hot sauce and tomatoes on it. But what it isn't is boiled peeled shrimp on a soggy roll with lettuce, onions, tomato, and pickles. With what appears to be an attempt at cocktail sauce, that just tastes like ketchup someone added sugar too. If you ever have a hankering for a Shrimp Po'Boy do NOT get it at this place. They clearly have no idea what a shrimp Po'Boy is, but I can tell you they absolutely know what it isn't. I wish they would have indicated on their menu that it isn't an actual Po'Boy because now I have to eat this sorry excuse for a shrimp sandwich because they charged me $18.00 for it. :/
Chicken and dumplings soup was so delicious and seasoned so good I love it
FIRST TIME DINING IN EASY CONVENIENCE THREE BLOCKS FROM MY JOB
Chicken salad was bland, normally is more flavorful. Rice crispy square cereal was stale.
Always a delight when I come here, staff is very friendly and makes great food. Definitely suggest stopping by, they give a veterans discount too
