Some of the best Creole food I have eaten outside of New Orleansm, and better than some I've eaten in New Orleans.
Found this little gem when I was waiting for my tour at the Whaley House tour. I only had the French Onion soup, but it was delicious. It is perfect for a quiet romantic dinner away from the bustle of Old Town. Parking: Old Town has free parking lots
Really good food. If you're in Old Town and don't want Mexican food you won't go wrong. Had the blackened alligator sausage, red beans & rice and crawfish étouffée. All three were fabulous!
Havent back in awhile, food was just as delcious and waitstaff was wonderful.
I do not know if these other reviewers have been to Louisiana and had real Cajun/Creole food. I got the gumbo and the base was burned. It was to go and came with 4 shrimp, cup rice and brown burnt gravy! Huge waste! I know this is your family’s recipes….. well you should of never served a gumbo with a burnt base.
Really enjoyed the food and atmosphere very cozy and authentic. There was one guy who was serving & cooking. Super nice. Food was great too! I got the gumbo and etouffe.
Chicken shrimp gumbo had sausage that looked like hot dogs and it had a burnt taste. Really gross.
Food was EXCELLENT!! a must have!! Atmosphere could use livening up, it's "New Orleans" why not make it fun. Had lunch size portions was enough.
