New Market BBQ

The food here is tasty. The brisket is my absolute favorite, though everyone loves a great pork sandwich! Their pintos and cornbread are a good southern staple!!

Absolutely amazing food here. I got the pulled pork sandwich... So good! Great vinegar BBQ style that is quite unique and distinct that you won't find other places. And the homemade slaw they put on it is also incredible. Also, I've been to a lot of BBQ places in Alabama, and they have the BEST Mac & cheese... so creamy and flavorful! And as far as desert, their banana pudding is like none other! This place is well worth a trip to this wonderful scenic area of Alabama, and perfect for dinner after spending the day kayaking on the Flint River!

A chance encounter with an off the main road BBQ led me to one of the best chopped brisket sandwiches I have ever eaten. Being a mis placed Texan it's hard to find good beef especially in pork centric Alabama. The meat was tender and flavorful and the sauce just right. This gem is only open Fri Sat and Sun and sits by a creekside with outdoor and indoor dining areas. The sides and deserts looked good but all I wanted was the sandwich. Clean delightful spot for lunch. The only thing I wish they had is jalapenos

Absolutely a must try! The best bbq! The owners are wonderful. Try the smack & cheese and homemade desserts. Well, try anything and you won't be disappointed. Their business hours differ because they are family owned and operated, so ALWAYS check hours before going. I love you New Market BBQ!!

$2 per ear for 8" ear of putrid roasted corn. Bought 4. First was mere dry blisters, second had a 2" of brown rot, third was void of taste and the last one was uncooked. $8 thrown away. Never again!On the other hand, the barbecue and chocolate pie were delicious as always.

7/14/5: Best BBQ I've ever had, the brisket is amazing...and that's coming from a Texas girl!! You have to try the smoked Mac and cheese and the green beans. All out of this world and the owners are so friendly and down to earth. We will definitely be back!! 12/12/15: Thank You New Market BBQ for making our company Christmas party absolutely perfect! The food twas amazing as always and your service was impeccable!!! I heard everyone saying how delicious the food was and how much they loved that brisket and Mac and cheese (two of my favorites myself!!). Thanks again Libby, you guys were amazing and no one could have done a better job!! Looking forward to next year!!

... in town but I did not think it was very good. I rated it average because it was not totally poor. I ordered the 2 meats and 3 sides and frankly the sides were better than the meats. My brisket was dry and crumbly and the two small ribs that I got were over cooked and to the point that the meat was crunchy. As I said the sides were great and so was the unsweat tea. Stopping by again? I don’t think so…
