This is not a fancy Chinatown tourist trap. It's a humble Chinese diner with excellent food and good portions. Two people might share a rice plate with some side dumplings. I had the beef with mixed vegetables plate. Came with a small soup and a piping hot dumpling. Everything was super fresh and came straight from wok to table in seconds. Looks like old school family run place. For what one gets it's a bargain in this day and age. I saw many locals who kibbitzed in Mandarin with the staff. How do you say kibbitzed in Mandarin?? They almost to a person ordered a pork dish, apparently a specialty, that looked terrific on the plate. That'll be my next meal here... Under 15 bucks with 2 cups of tea out the door. It's right off the alley where Red's Place is...
Very authentic and good food with a decent price for the size of the meal.
Roast pork is the way to go! Cantonese comfort food
Zamówiliśmy i jedliśmy zupełnie co innego, ale było pyszne i świeże :) Komunikacja utrudniona ale warto skosztować realnej chińskiej kultury i atmosfery. Nie wygląda, ale na prawdę warto.
It's got a divey atmosphere, a western inspired menu that made it's way from Hong Kong, but it's got a warm place in my heart and every meal comes with a big gaau-ji (gyōza).
