Neptune Palace Seafood Restaurant (Vancouver)

I generally do not review Chinese Restaurants but, Neptune is worth it! It offers the standard menu but, for a upper-end CHinese restaurant, they do well and you would do well checking this one out. First, the restrooms are beautiful and clean (I know!). The menu ir very reasonable - not cheap but, reasonable and the portions are generous. Service is excellent and you do not have to stand and wave your arms like a loonatik to get attention! Parking is free but do not forget to register at the table. Dim Sum is great and the Peking Duck is the best. The have Crab specials which are great and the Salt & Pepper is my wife's favourite (I don't eat crab, it's too messy for my). So, if you are wanting a little more 'class and service' with your Chinese food - go for the Neptune at Marine Station!

Watch out what you eat!! We went today for dimsum. My daughter chewed on a piece of plastic bag stuck on the meat of Siumai. We told the manager. He answered “ oh” and tried to take this away. I asked him so this is it? His answer was “okay we wont charge on the Siumai.” Whole conversation with no sincere apology but full of arrogance. I asked him if this happens often because you seem pretty calm with it. What if my daughter swallowed it? He answered “no not really” and sneered and walked away. Totally horrible experience. Will let friends and family know.

Had dim sum with my partner there and it was not bad - i dont think the quality really justified the prices that much - we had an eggplant stuffed with shrimp, siu mai, ciu chow dumplings, fried glutinous rice dumplings and an order of stir fried clams. I liked the clams the best. I thought their siu mao and dumplings were very mediocre and cant really fathom paying more than $12 for each dish after tax.

We came up from Washington on a Sunday for lunch and it was all delightful. It was busy but we were able to get a table without a reservation. Ordered a wide variety so we go to try a bit of everything and it was all great.

Service was great, everyone was attentive. Food was solid and came fast - we got the king crab and Peking duck set. Hit the craving spot. Overall a great experience! Would recommend!
