Neptune Oyster

Was very disappointed today. Have not been to Neptune in a few years. Ordered the 2lb lobster meal. $85. It was definitely not cooked fresh. Bill for two was over $300. Over charged for wine. A disaster. I would not recommend it. It has become a tourist trap. Locals should not go. I won’t.

Waitress wasn't helpful, quite snobbish with poor service. The bill came with recommended tip of 20-25%. I tipped less at 10-15% but they charged me the final bill with a 22% tip for themselves regardless of what I signed. Watch out for the dishonesty. Overhyped food, not worth the long wait/queue.

Fresh & well prepared seafood

I stop here every time I’m in Boston. There’s always a wait but it’s worth it. The hot lobster roll is incredible and the atmosphere in the restaurant is great. You know the seafood is fresh when more items on the menu are listed as “market price” than not. Do yourself a favor and make the stop!

After sitting in my seat and ordering the food, I waited for a full 30 minutes, and they said that my order was not logged into the system. So there’s no food and I m really hungry. There are no apologies for that.

Worth the wait! This place is right and packed but if you don’t might sharing tables, you will be treated to an amazing experience! Lobster roll was amazing and the triple fried French fries was so good! The special chimichurri scallops was awesome! We preferred oysters A la carte but was jealous of the seafood tower our neighbors ordered The wait wasn’t too bad bc the service was so quick and they were efficient at turning tables Definitely a great experience for a local or tourist

Food, absolutely delicious! Service was lacking… I think that because it’s such a hot spot (I’m talking a line outside on a non holiday MONDAY afternoon), staff are on edge and kind of rude when you walk in. After being greeted by a woman saying we couldn’t sit down, we finally got a spot at the bar with a very pleasant server. Food was amazing had Johnny cakes (superb), warm lobster roll (simple & delish), clam chowdah (a bit thinner than I’m used to and the clams were a little chewy not a huge fan), and of course we couldn’t leave without getting some fresh raw oysters(to die for).
