Neighbors Seafood & Chicken

To say we were disappointed is an understatement. I had a catfish platter with 2 sides. My sides were fried squash & salad. It "supposedly" came with hushpuppies & fries. Consequently they ran out of hushpuppies & substituted cold , hard cornbread muffins, without an explanation or inquiry as to what we might like to have as a substitute. I would not have ordered a catfish plate without hushpuppies & to assume I want to eat cold, dry, hard cornbread, as a substitute, was not how I would expect this to be handled. The fries may have totaled 15 french fries. Very sparse serving. My salad looked like bagged ready mix with 1 thin slice of tomato & 2 rings of raw onion & the bowl was just half full. Another disappointment. It was not a good experience & for a $50 lunch, I expected a lot more. There were 3 pieces of catfish that were nice & crispy & hot, but the rest was just mediocre. My husband's lunch of crab claws ( mkt. price ) & flounder combo plate was just OK. Claws were tiny. He ordered tea, I had water. Several weeks ago, I ordered fried livers through the drive through & it looked like scraps. Half of the livers didn't even have crust on them. I was eating on the run or I would have taken them back. I think it will be a long time before we give " Neighbors " another try. Too many other good places to eat for that kind of lunch money.

Prices are too expensive. Most foods are frozen. Foods not even good anymore. I can open up a can of vegetables or fry frozen French fries, and will be before I dart foot in that door. Taking many business people away with me. One bad experience shame on me, two, three and four shame on you. Charge a different price ever time I get a to go order. Greed!

10/10 would never come back the service was good but the food TRASH my roommate broke his tooth trying to eat an oyster, the rolls tasted like soap, and they say they serve sirloin and what they brought out a hamburger patty and worst of all my fiance couldn't even stand up for 10 mins to leave before he had to run to the bathroom and throw up the only good food they have was the fries wouldn't even have my worst enemy come here

I needed some food like my grandma and mom made, good veggies made with soul and care in them. My parents used to eat here regularly but I hadn't been until today. I chatted with staff, was treated like family, and ate veggies and cornbread like a horse. I didn't leave a speck on the plate. We will be back regularly, because home cooking with down home folks is refreshing. Comfort food is an understatement.
