Everything was amazing. The beef and chicken is super high quality. The service is exceptional. Highly recommended!
The only thing that stood out at Negeen was the service which was friendly and attentive. The staff gave me space in paying instead of standing next to me peeking at the tip amount. It showed respect and trust. And I Iiked that. Yet the food was average and fell out of my expectation. For someone who knows how to make kebab right, I can tell you authentic Persian kebabs don't require baking soda, but both of their chicken koobideh and beef koobideh were puffed up with baking soda, an unnecessary step led to divergence of the original taste of only beef, onion, salt and black pepper combined. Chicken thigh joojeh kebab tasted sour for being marinated in lemon juice for too long, leaving the reverse effect of being stiff. I've had store-bought kebabs that tasted much better than Negeen's. Ambience was nice but I wouldn't come back just for it.
Amazing food. And an even better atmosphere and service. Best Persian food in ca. HANDS DOWN!!
A hidden gem. Very nice family owned restaurant. The best formal Persian restaurant in the Bay Area. A big plus is that it is very gay friendly (both for customers and employees)
It was our first time and I really enjoyed it, the food was amazing and service was great
