Ned Devine's

First time here, and I will not be back. I attempted to attend a pub crawl that required me to pick up a wrist band from Ned’s. I waited on the side walk for almost 2 hours before getting my band, which by this point the pub crawl was almost over. It took forever to get the bands because large groups of people kept cutting in line. As a group of 18 college kids kept pushing their way into line, one being a guy twice my size who kept elbowing me to get into where I was standing. I addressed him numerous times, and the elbows to my ribs and side kept getting more and more aggressive. Finally, he elbowed me really hard in the kidney, and having preexisting health concerns this was not safe. I turned to say something again and noticed a staff member doing “crowd control” and attempted to get his attention for help. He flat out told me “I don’t care about that,” and walked away. Half an hour later I attempted to get help again, and the staff member yelled at me to “go home” when I told him numerous times I’m being hurt by people in the line, and that he’s not preventing issues. The people at the very front of the line admitted that they had been there for 45 mins. Twice the time I was stuck being beaten up behind them. I spent the rest of the weekend in horrid pain in my kidney. After this experience I realize that Ned’s has poor crowd control and very little concern for the safety of their patrons, and are incredibly ill prepared for large crowds. I would not patronize a place that doesn’t look out for the safety of a 5’2” woman begging for help from staff. To me, this shows very very very little care for your customers and nothing but greed.

Went here the day before St Patrick’s day and it’s was swamped! The staff did an excellent job keeping everything organized but fun! I have to point out that George who was working security outside was excellent and super friendly! Catherine our waitress was outstanding! And last but not least, thank you to the manager Patty for resolving our issue when the restaurant had to shut down for one hour! You all are wonderful as a team and we can’t wait to come back!!

They do not let you in based on appearance. Extreme racism at this establishment and I am not here for it. Would never ever return to this establishment for these reasons

I was having a really fun time the bartender was nice and the drinks were good, I only bought one. Everything was great until my friend and I walked over to the bathroom, and the bouncer talked to my friend and said “she’s had too much she needs to leave.” I had only had one drink and I wasn’t doing anything! I had followed my friend to the bathroom when someone else physically stopped me and said I needed to leave, I made sure my friend followed me as I was escorted out. I don’t know what I did wrong, I wasn’t any tipsy-er than anyone else, and it made me sad because I was having a fun night. It was my birthday too! I hope they learn how to distinguish between someone who’s having fun and someone who is too drunk.

Manager was eventually pleasant and the server was not. The server failed to fill up water glasses. The server accidentally took a couple retainers from our table and then refused to look in the trash for them. She said, “There is garbage, food, and sauce in the trash and it is too dirty to look for it. You will just have to buy a new one.” We had to get the manager involved. The manager asked the server and the server said she already looked for them. The manager believed the server. I had to ask them if they wanted to bring me the trash so I could go through it in front of their other customers. The manager then understood how important the retainers were and looked through the trash. She found one of the two.

I was drawn to this restaurant by the advertisement outside that its Clam Chowder was award winning. Two years in a row. There were two people sitting at the bar and no other patrons in the restaurant when I entered at around 1pm on a Monday. I sat at the bar, and a pleasant young waiter/bartender took my order for the Clam Chowder. I also ordered a soda water, which was served in a glass covered in crud down one side - from a dishwasher. The waiter apologized and gave me a new clean glass. The waiter went to the kitchen with my order, and he came back with the Chowder himself. The Chowder was a brown color and not the creamy color one is used to. I found the color a little off-putting and queried the waiter as to what made it so. He said he didn't know and went to the kitchen to ask the chef. He came back a few minutes later to tell me the chef was in a meeting. The waiter said he would go back and ask when the meeting was over. He never did do so. The brown clam chowder lacked creaminess, and while it tasted fine, I failed to be wowed by it. I found it very odd that a waiter wouldn't know why the Clam Chowder was brown. I also find it very odd that a chef would be in a meeting at lunchtime. The experience of being served a discolored Chowder and then not being told why left an unpleasant impression.

We were in Ned Devine's this evening was not many people at all, watching the Super Bowl. Great drinks and apps, bartender was great. Just prior to half time. A big crowd 10 or more people in corner right in front us watching the game at the bar. They just stood in front of us at corner of bar. Blocking your view. I tap a woman on shoulder asking politely if she could move that she was in my view. She gave me unbelievable attitude. The biggest thing was the manger on duty was part of the crowd aka not working. I ask to talk to manger and she had more attitude, it is a bar what do you want me to do. I said your job, this manger has no clue about what to do and talk to customers. It was half time on a dead night until these people came in an gather in corner right in front of us. We were planning on staying for the game had to leave our bill was just over 100 dollars. A it was amazing most of the people asking the bartender for water with lime. But they were the priority to a very poor manger.
