Small menu of reliably delicious options and an amazing wine selection and fabulous craft cocktails.
Nectar is always an amazing place to go for good food and conversation with friends
The server was pleasant, we ordered and drinks took awhile, no big deal, our entree came, ordered wine, my husband had to go up to the bar to get our wine. Our filet came out medium, we ordered medium rare, we asked a staff member & she said "I think that's how they do medium rare here" the filet was grey on the outside, pink in the middle, our server came back & asked how the food was, I said, "The filet is over cooked but your assistant said that is how you do it." She said "OK, sorry" and continued on her way..I would not recommend eating here.
Me and my 4 other friends have ordered their burger. They didn’t ask how we would like it to be cooked and all of them were cooked different, also the burgers bread was cold. We also got their cheeses as appetizer and they served almost an empty plate for 5 of us. One of my friend had burnt burger. Their coctails were also too strong, didn’t taste good at all.
Nectar is one of the best options for fine dining and a good cocktail in Moscow. That being said, for a restaurant that costs ~$100 for two (entrees and a cocktail a piece) I think it leaves a little to be desired. While the featured cocktail menu changes periodically, the appetizer and entree menus have remained pretty much static and a few items are pretty basic. I understand that oven fries, Mac and cheese and a burger may be real appealing to some, but if I'm going to spend $25 on a meal, it's not gonna be a hamburger and potato wedges. The last few times we've visited we have been underwhelmed by the specials or they've been sold out. Nectar has a talented kitchen staff, it would be great to see a little more variety/seasonal rotation on the menu. That being said, the meatloaf is great. I get it every time. We miss Meatloaf Mondays!!!
Surprised I haven't already reviewed Nectar! One of my absolute favorites. Exquisite cocktails, great staff personalities, and excellent food with a variety of options for diet-restricted people. Their patio is wonderful, too. Dietary restrictions: Variety of options for those with dietary restrictions Parking: Must park downtown, but usually you can find parking within a 3 minute walk
Great selection of local seasonal foods and a wonderful drink menu. Staff are always friendly too!
I really enjoy this place, food is always delicious, drinks are top tier. One star taken off though bc their only way to make reservations is calling and leaving a voicemail, and their voicemail has been full for the last week, so hard to get a hold of them!
I heard wonderful things about Nectar and being in town for a few days I decided to stop in. The location is cool with a view of passers by through deeply tinted windows. With the exterior looking both nestled into the scene as well as being eye catching enough to not miss. I learned that in the spring and summer months fresh ingredients are selected directly from garden beds and pots on their outdoor seating patio. Inside was very inviting, the building was a cross between the exposed interior structures and subdued luxury. Seating was comfortable and the restaurant although not large was not crowded seeming even though it was full. This visit was only for cocktails and the staff definitely did not disappoint. We were greeted warmly as we entered and were seated at the bar. I ordered an old fashioned with Elijah Craig, my wife ordered the Queen Bee and my son ordered an Oaxacan old fashioned (smoky tequila and spicy chili peppers). All were delicious and crafted expertly. We will be going back for dinner and dessert before we leave town and I believe this will be a staple dining spot every time we visit town.
