Ordered a king cake for a gathering and it was so delicious and fun! Has a streusel filling and comes with some information about the meaning behind the cake. I ended up getting the slice with the baby in it so I’ll be back next year for another cake! Cynthia said they can customize it for other occasions & holidays too

Ever since I discovered this local King cake bakery I no longer order my cake to be shipped in from New Orleans & do not think of any other baker in LA for my King cake. The cake is always fresh and tasty. My family and guests simply love it. Without a doubt this is the baker for King cakes in Los Angeles

I'm updating my review from two years ago since we just went back to Cynthia for my daughter's 3rd Grade presentation on Three Kings Day. There's been a re-branding to Nawlins Sweet Treats, since the two years. I adore this place, and Cynthia and her son, Jacob, are so lovely. The King Cake was a hit with my daughter's class, and the face of the child who found the baby Jesus was so precious. By the way, if you wish to "rig" the hunt, then mention to Cynthia beforehand that you want to know where the baby Jesus is baked so that you can award that special slice to someone you like (Jacob puts a toothpick next to where he bakes it). I am definitely going back in Christmas time for their Praline Cake, and their chocolate chip cookies. Diet be gone. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My son who's in 3rd Grade had an oral presentation due this past week on Three Kings Day. I called up Cynthia at New Orleans Sweet Treats, who gladly baked us a cake and provided a historical explanation of the cake's symbolism. My son even cited her in his Bibliography. We walked into the class with the cake box, and literally the kids were screaming with joy! My son felt like a hero. The cake is delicious! It has a bread like texture, and is not too sweet. It is decorated beautifully as you can see, the kids just LOVED it. The kids were all searching diligently for the baby Jesus in their slices. This is the perfect cake for a class room. Cynthia mentioned that each of her three kids got "As" on their own reports. My son also got his "A," so lesson learned: this cake will get you that "A."

King Cake is great. Good looking, good tasting, and authentic NOLA style. Pick up times flexible. Hosted a Mardi Gras gathering, and all my Los Angeles friends who'd never heard of King Cake loved it too. As a South Mississippi native whose no stranger to NOLA, I'm grateful to Nawlins for giving me a taste of home and letting me share it with friends.

This is my second time getting a king cake from Nawlins Sweet Treats, and it was just as delicious as the last! This is the spot you've been looking for.

What a New Orleans gem in LA! My girlfriend and I were missing carnival and never-ending king cake consumption. This one was beautiful decorated, delicious, and I got the baby on the second slice. And I’ve got my morning slice ready to go with my coffee this morning. Professional, courteous, and prompt service with a large splash of love and passion, I recommend Nawlins Sweet Treats to anybody craving a king cake. Happy Mardi Gras y’all!

Ordered two small king cakes with nuts as corporate Mardi Gras gifts. Great almond flavor and they were both quickly eaten! Will be trying their other items and happy to support a local business!
