Mz Kettle's BBQ

In Fruitvale - you would miss it if you were not coming here, because it is so unassuming. It is primarily a take out with a counter and three stools if you want to eat in. For drinks - you have to go to next door to buy. But what stands out is how excellent the food is. I had brisket which was soft and the sauce is excellent. The baked beans were amazing, and so were the corn muffins. A really top both southern style bbq place

I was craving some BBQ and decided to find a new spot to try out in Oakland. I checked Yelp and Google and they were rated fairly high. So I decided to try it out. I didn't wait long for my order to arrive after it was placed. The food was extremely filling and satisfied my craving. The baked beans were delicious but the beef brisket and the mac and cheese were my favs. If you're in the area I highly recommend giving them a try.

Had the ribs, Mac n cheese, and potato salad. All great choices, I recommend the hot bbq sauce, its delicious and actually has some decent heat. If you want some real damn good bbq this is it. Definitely coming back again next time I'm in the area.

I liked the Bar-B-Que but the potato salad took a little time to get used to.

Didn't like the food because you can taste the fuel they cooked with and they didn't have anyone in the store when I came in and they still forgot to give me my yams I paid for but it probably was for the best!

Soooo I FINALLY GOT TO MZ KETTLES AND....I was impressed. I got the 3Meat combo. BRISKET, RIBS AND CHICKEN ...ALL THE MEATS was hot and flavorful. It took me a few months to eat there. But it was worth the wait. I'll most definitely go back again...
