I’m from Georgia and this was BY FAR the best bbq in the area. I didn’t know they closed this location. I want it back

Best bbq in the Hoboken/JC area, no question about it. Love the food and the service.

I eat out often and everywhere so I know great food when I eat it. While visiting a friend in Hoboken the other day she suggested Pitmaster because a soul food restaurant in Jersey City ran out of ribs, and potato salad. When you have a taste for something you become desperate, so I said let's do it. I ordered the baby's back ribs which were good. The collard greens were good but I like mind with a little more kick. The potato salad was horrible!! It tastes like potatoes and mayonnaise, not potato salad. I threw it in the trash because eating it made me sick. The banana pudding is not your momma's. Some of the favors were there but it was missing so much and visually it didn't look appetizing. It looked like mush. A friend of mine had the mac n cheese which he said was good not great. The BBQ meat is pretty good but Pitmaster needs to work on their side dishes.

This is the nastiest barbecue on the eastern coast of America. I am utterly disappointed and disgusted with my order. I ordered a brisket sandwich and it looked like old liver. How does a BRISKET sandwich look like LIVER??? Holy hell and not to mention the macaroni is disgusting and is served in portions of tiny scoops. I wish I could get my money back but more importantly, the calories wasted.

Best BBQ in Hoboken! Amazing Brisket and Pulled Pork and they have excellent sides and dessert as well. Food comes out in less than 5 minutes as well. Would highly recommend!
