Not sure if I caught them on a bad day but this is the worst Jamaican food I’ve ever had, no exaggeration :/ it had no spice, the jerk chicken tasted sweet, the rice had no flavor, the porridge had the consistency of water, the candy yams tasted like boiled potatoes sprinkled with cinnamon, no exaggeration.
Amazing place, I enjoyed the crunchy honey wings and the Mac &. Cheese. The ladies were nice and welcoming I’ll definitely comeback again.
Absolutely delicious and not too greasy or salty. Tastes like a home cooked meal.
I think Mya's Bar & Kitchen is an underrated spot. The food and service have not disappointed me yet and the space is an overall vibe. I've gone here several times and whether it's the honey shrimp, oxtail tacos, mac and cheese as well as sorrel drinks...Mya's Bar & Kitchen brings me joy. It's a well needed spot to the neighborhood and I hope more people come out to support this place. I don't want to see it go.
Service is attentive, the place is a while vibe. Cozy but bigger than it looks from outside easily have a party of 40-50 ppl as I did for my 50th Birthday party/ showcase recently on January 13th. It was a very accomadating setting. They already have a nice sound system so all we had to do was plug in. It's a nice environment just to get a nice meal. I personally like the wings myself sauce on the side and I heard the oxtail is top choice and looked amazing.
Wow wow wow. 10/10 would DEFINITELY recommend. This place hit the spot. Flew in from FL to visit family and this was the first Caribbean place we found in the area. Customer service was top tier and the food… Y’all see the plate I had The Oxtail Fries w/ a Beef & cheese patty. My husband had Jerk Chicken w/ Rice & Peas and a patty as well. We couldn’t decide on whose food we liked best. If you’re ever in the area, please stop by !
Patties (jerk, beef and spinach) were soooo good (in a cute little package too), I’m mad they don’t open Sundays!
