Go to for Burmese. I have lunch here about once a month with my elementary school BFF. The staff are so patient while we chat and laugh and stay too long. We love their tea leaf salad, eggplant and teas. Everything we’ve tried has been wonderful.
It’s been a while since I ordered from this restaurant. I had high expectations based on my last visit. And because I have relatives visiting I wanted them to try it out. Unfortunately, food was way too salty. And when I specifically requested “not spicy” on the veggie orders they did the opposite. Also too much baking soda on the meats. My aunt is now experiencing indigestion.
Absolutely outstanding food and service. Having zero knowledge of Burmese cuisine, I find the assortment of menu items refreshing and interesting. I like things very hot and spicy and they are able to accommodate. The staff is great. Four visits now and each time I’ve tried something new. The waitresses know the menu and are able to explain things and make suggestions. They are friendly, engaging and it is apparent they enjoy their work, that’s a big plus. The cocktail menu has interesting and refreshing choices as well. I’m sure we will enjoy many more lunches and dinners, especially with the weather warming up and the great outdoor seating, which is also great for people watching!
The food was too salty. Chili beef was like dipped into the soy sauce. The waiter who served us was flirting with another waitress all the time and ignored us. Never come back again.
Had a nice lunch here with family. Tea Salad was different, I didn't care for the taste, although my family liked it. Egg noodles were too cooked. Chicken and string beans were delicious.
Great experience at My Burma. Only had to wait 3 minutes to be seated on a Saturday dinner. Drinks were a bit mellow (low alcohol) for the "golden pot", but the long island made up for it. The peppered beef was absolutely delicious and I'd really recommend it with the coconut rice.
The restaurant is super spacious, really great ambiance. I went with friends who had Burmese food from San Francisco, but this was my first time. The hostess was awesome, helped us with recommendations. Ordered a Nam Gyi Thok (noodle dish), Burmese beef curry potatoes, and a coconut rice. The noodle dish has curry, pea powder, a hard boiled egg, chicken, was super delicious. Good kick of spice and flavor. As for the curry, the beef was chewy, not tender, so that is something to change. Had a slight mixed up in rice, received a jasmine instead of a coconut, but the hostess just gave both bowls of rice. The coconut rice was a bit watery, but great sweetness level. Overall, I would order a different protein curry. Parking: Behind Davis Commons
Wheelchair accessibility: No steps into the restaurant. The parking lot has a curb separating it from the walk area but there are ramps.
An enjoyable dining experience. We sat a little close to the door and created a bit of cold wind but the food was excellent The service was timely and unobtrusive and overall very enjoyable experience.
Excellent waiters and food. Highly recommend the tea leaf salad. I cannot visit Davis and not get the salad here. My Burma was not around when I went to college there but it has quickly become a go-to place when I visit.
