Mussel & Burger Bar

Sliders were delicious and mussels were fantastic

It absolutely kills me to have to give Mussel and Burger Bar a bad review. It has been a favorite place for several years. But last night, March 2nd, was the absolute worst experience. My family took me there for my birthday dinner. We wanted a booth for a more intimate experience, but were told all the booths were reserved. Soon after we sat, one became available and continued to be unfilled for the rest of our time there. Didn't look reserved to me. Then came the problem with the food. We ordered appetizers and drinks right off the bat. The drinks came, the appetizers did not. We ordered our meals. And we waited. And waited. And waited some more, when, after half an hour, our meals came out, and still no appetizers. And my meal wasn't even correct! I was given the wrong side. 10 minutes after the meals came, we got our appetizers. Then, after having some of them, our starter plates were inexplicably taken from the table. We had to finish them on our entree plates. I was given the correct side, after bringing it to out servers attention. And to her credit, she did talk to the manager and we got the appetizers for free. But come on! I wouldn't expect things like this from a place like Mussel and Burger Bar. Birthday dinner was a disaster. And we didn't stay for dessert, cause we weren't about to tempt the fates so that something else would go wrong. Disappointed.

Situated right in the heart of Jtown, this restaurant has a pub style. The server was thorough and should be complimented for taking food allergies seriously. Unfortunately my burger which I ordered well done was overcooked on one side. This made for a crunchy burger and it wasn't very good.

Food seems a little different after the covid times. We still go there to eat occasionally but its not our go-to like it used to be.

WOW!! This place is great. We were driving through and decided to stop by and I'm glad we did. The service was great and the food was amazing. We will be back!

Loved it and found our offer on our new home was accepted there! We'll never forget it or the AMAZING food!

One of my favorite places for date night! An amazing variety to the menu and great for groups of friends!
